Marykutty Samuel

Marykutty Samuel, 82, of Garland, TX, passed away on August 5th, 2023 surrounded by family and loved ones. Marykutty was born on March 4th, 1941 in Manappally, Thazhava, Kerala (India) to the late Rahelamma and late Oonnoonny Geevarghese and was the oldest of three children. She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her savior at a very young age. Marykutty was married to P.V. Samuel on April 22nd, 1957 and they had eight children together (Mathew, Kunjannamma, Abraham, Stanly, Ruth, Amstrong, Aldrin and Collinece). In 2006, Marykutty immigrated to the United States to be with her husband and children where she spent the last several years. Although she left everything she knew in her homeland of India, she was willing to uproot her life for the happiness and wellbeing of her family. Throughout her life, she encouraged her family and friends to live a truthful Christian life and instilled those same values in her children and grandchildren. She would be seen in the mornings and evenings in prayer, and her character as an intercessory prayer warrior lives on in the lives she impacted. Her greatest joy and achievement was seeing her family loving and serving Jesus. Marykutty will be remembered for her generosity and her selflessness. She was always looking for ways to help people who were less fortunate. Whether it was through a kind word or a warm smile, she always had a way of welcoming people in and loving them. This is the legacy that we as a family will carry with us as we remember her wonderful life. She was loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her loving husband P.V. Samuel. She is also survived by her children, their spouses, seventeen grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. They include her son Mathew (Mercy), grandchildren Taniya (Jesen), Dhanya and Sam, and great-granddaughter Chrislyn; daughter Kunjannamma (Wilson), granddaughters Tina (Casey) and Cynthia (Jacob), and great-grandsons Luke and Cole; son Abraham (Susamma), granddaughters Kezia (Sam), Priscilla and Persis; son Stanley (late) (Jessy), granddaughters Bindhya and Sandhya; daughter Rooth (Babu) and grandchildren Asish, Mahima and Liya; son Amstrong (Suja); son Aldrin (Blessy) and grandchildren Joanna, Jewel and Josiah; and son Collinece (Feba) and grandson Stanley. She is also survived by her two brothers Emmanuel (Rosamma) and Daniel (Mary) and nieces Esther, Shirley, and Sonia and nephews Stanley, Renny and Rony and their respective families. She is also survived by countless extended family members in the US, India, and around the world.
